learning italian: for the record...

The picture above is not of a pannolino (napkin). In fact, the photo below shows a pannolino...

Thanks to our awesome iPad English/Italian dictionary app we were learning the very wrong word for napkin. Our friends were over for lunch on Friday and enlightened us after seeing a post-it note with "pannolino" affixed to our napkin holder. Thank goodness we didn't get so far as to request a diaper in a restaurant or wine bar.

For the record, napkin is tovagliolo.
